TASSC International Webinar Commemorating Victims of Enforced Disappearances and their Family Members

Enforced Disappearances is a tool used by repressive governments and armed groups all over the world to target human rights defenders, journalists, political opponents, and their family members in order to eliminate dissenting voices. The United Nations has designated August 30th as International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances to focus more attention on the individuals who have been disappeared, and their family members who do not know if their loved ones are dead or alive.

On August 30, 2021, TASSC will hold a webinar to call attention to individuals who have been disappeared and the suffering of their relatives who seek answers for what happened to their relatives, and accountability for the perpetrators.
